I.               Call to order
a.     President Sarah Johnson calls the meeting to order at 7:02
II.             September Musicale: E-mail Sarah to sign up. We will have monthly Musicales, and you are required to play once a year (public or private – any SAI event counts)
III.           President’s Report
a.     Tea Party with NKU Sisters
                                               i.     November 10th @ 11am
b.     Province Officer Carrie O’Connor will be visiting mid-October and wants to meet with all the officers.
                                               i.     We will need to pay for her hotel accommodations.
c.     Faculty Advisors
                                               i.     Mary Stucky and Karen Lykes: Do we need new advisors?
1.     Emma is of the opinion that although they aren’t overly involved in our chapter, they are more than available when we need them. We all seem to agree that our chapter is not lacking in leadership. In fact, we appreciate the way they trust us to really be in charge.
d.     Bylaws Committee to meet during the week
                                               i.     Emma, Jalen, Sarah, and Abi express interest.
e.     Dangles can be bought on the SAI website.
IV.           Officer Reports
a.     VPM Report – Ellie
                                               i.     RECRUITMENT! Pixar – Animate your life with SAI!
1.     Katie’s
a.     Congrats! The event was a success. “…Let’s get those brass girls to join.”
2.     Burnett Woods
a.     Bug’s Life Date: Sept 15th, 11am (meet in the circle)
b.     Name Game/ “get to know you”: Ball toss? (Wherever your left thumb lands is the question you answer)
c.     We agree on the picnic area by the playground and slides (near Ludlow)
d.     Emma and Sarah to go early for set-up.
e.     Goodie bags: Stickers (on grocery list)
f.      Back-up plan in case of rain: George Foreman grillout in Ellie’s apartment! Sarah and Jen will bring cars in case we need to leave Burnett quickly.
3.     Hannah’s
a.     Finding Nemo Date: Sept 20th, 6pm
4.     Baur Room
a.     Toy Story Date: Oct 2nd, 6pm-10pm
5.     Formal Dinner/Suzanne’s
a.      Ratatouille Date: Oct 6th, 6pm
b.     Make bids (Hannah)
                                             ii.     Shirts
1.     Given out with Bids at Formal Dinner. Hannah will have information at next meeting.
b.     VPR Report – Hannah (none)
c.     Treasurer’s Report - Emma
                                               i.     Current balance: $1,361.39
1.     $75 budget for each event
2.     We spent $93.64 at the first rush event – slightly over budget.
                                             ii.     Dues
1.     Oct 1st = new deadline!! ($52.50 or $105 for whole year)
                                            iii.     Double signatures on checks
1.     Our new PO wants us to make sure we have Sue Conrad’s signature, as well as Emma’s, on all checks we write. We will need to add Sue to the bank account.

e.     Editor’s Report – Alison
                                               i.     Yearbook in the works!
f.      Sergeant-at-Arms’ Report – Katie
                                               i.     Katie reads the new national objectives from convention. These can be viewed in PDF form on the SAI website.
V.             Committee Reports
a.     Fraternity Education Report – Katie
                                               i.     Chorale w/ alto part at end of meeting after new girls leave
b.     Fundraising Report – Jen
                                              i.     Bake sale
1.     September 10th from 10am-2pm
2.     Anyone who didn’t bring baked goods to tonight’s meeting can bring it to the Atrium tomorrow before 10:00 AM.
                                            ii.     Yogurt Vi
1.     September 10th 4-10pm
2.     Jen has Yogurt Vi/SAI flyers to hand out at the bake sale and to our friends, etc. It’s important to distribute these.
3.     Between 4 and 8 pm, we need a few girls at Yogurt Vi to explain the fundraiser/promote SAI. Wear SAI clothes/buttons.
c.     Social Report – Tara
                                               i.     Saturday, Oct. 13th – UC Football game! We can order (free) tickets online at a meeting if we all bring our laptops on Sunday, October 7th.
d.     Community Service Report – Abi
1.     Ronald McDonald – no dates yet
2.     Little Sisters of the Poor – no dates yet
VI.           Old Business         (none)
VII.         New Business
a.     Composer Concert – Hannah, Oct 18th
                                               i.     Oct 1st deadline for performers and piece
1.     Call for scores: Hannah thinks we should have a limit on the size of ensembles, and limit it to one composition per composer.
2.     Commissioning a piece: Lindsay Jacobs is excited!
                                             ii.     Committee: Alison, Abi, Hannah, Emma, Jen.
1.     Décor: shimmery table cloths, fake candles, cocktail attire, roses.
2.     Performing/composing: Send call for scores, and other details, to NKU students.
3.     Advertising: posters, fliers, ticketing, go to Senate, $5 per sale, $8 at door
4.     Food: Sweet, savory, drinks
b.     SAI Bold Notes – Sarah
c.     Public Musicale per semester
                                               i.     John says they’re phasing out Atrium Concerts due to noise pollution. We discuss other options, including an SAI recital, which no one seems too enthusiastic about.
VIII.       Announcements
a.     Musicale at the end of the month – Sarah has signup list and will bring it to each meeting.
